The Deep's Mercy

Rose reached the deck, It was full of people looking overboard and awaiting instruction that was sure to follow.

There was a groan of wood from the front of the ship when the sound of wood splintering and cracking reached the air. The ship jerked and stopped even as the engines were still going. That’s when she saw it. A pink tentacle rose out of the sea and hit the deck as hard as it could shattering the wood and taking it deep into the sea. Everyone screamed in terror as the kracken rose out of the sea and took over the ship. People dived over bored to save themselves, others were to close to the monster to get away and were smothered by its mass.
