Alice in Underland

Alice tumbled down into underland, as the stories foretold. She was acquainted with a white rabbit, as indeed foreseen. However, they got it wrong, for the most part, that is.
This tale takes a more sinister twist,
For this rabbit was white indeed, but not whole. His face was only half there the other was amiss. His flesh hung from his empty sockets and around his droopy jaw, for his bone was visible and raw.
Alice was taken aback by the horror she saw, underneath the guise of death, she recognised the beast that once was her pet distinctly. She attempted a kinship and the rabbit hobbled forward. However, this did not last as he was now rabid.
He launched himself towards her, his red eye aglow and tore into her big toe.
Her scream woke the dead, no literally woke the dead. There was a mouse that walked on one leg, dragging herself toward poor Alice. A hare twice the size of her rabbit and a bit grey, he slithered himself toward her like she was his prey. Next came a hound, surely not the same she spotted as a child? Oh yes, the same and now it was in her presence, growling with his hunches low and hackles raised. He was the worst, he had all his legs but no fur, only lumps of skin hanging from his limp bones. He had all his teeth but no eyes, his ears were torn thrice so he should not look at her twice surely? Could he not see! He could not hear!
Oh, calamity! She took a deep breath. Mistake, that was her last for all around her pounced and attacked.
