Grammarly VS. ProWritingAid

Over the course of a year, I have tried several different editing programs and for me, it comes down to two, Grammarly and ProWritingAid.

First I tried Grammarly, I found it was good for letters and some writing styles but it couldn't handle long chapters. To be honest it couldn't handle more than three paragraphs. I found that it would say there was more wrong with the writing to get you to buy it.

On the other hand, it helped with passive writing and spelling. It also gives great replacement words if it sees you using the same word too many times.

Next, I tried ProWritingAid. This was much better in terms of variety and the length it can handle. It still doesn't like too much but will allow you to copy up to 3000 words without glitching and crashing. It is amazing for spelling and gives you a great overview of how your writing is progressing plus a wide variety of reports such as structure, readability, core and style.

In the end, I use both. I bought ProWritingAid and use that for my books and the majority of the editing. I use Grammarly for everything else. You can also download Grammarly to your computer and use both at the same time on ProWritingAid. Wich helps with spelling sometimes.

The choice is yours both have pros and cons...
